Microsoft takes down botnet Necurs

Microsoft has disrupted the botnet, Necurs, behind the world’s largest cybercrime network. Necurs has infected an estimated nine million computers worldwide generating as many as 3.8 million spam emails in a two-month period. Microsoft says this is the result of eight years of planning. Microsoft first observed Necurs in 2012.
