Wall Street bounces back as stimulus hopes soothe recession fears

Wall Street bounced back to life on Tuesday, pulling back from the brink of bear market confirmation as bargain hunting and stimulus hopes calmed investors’ fears of recession and uncertainties surrounding the coronavirus. All three major indexes rose more than 1,100 points, or 4.9%. US stocks are now down 14.9% from the peak they reached last month.
