World Health Organization declares global pandemic

Citing ’alarming levels of spread and severity,’ as well as ’alarming levels of inaction,’ the World Health Organization has declared COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, a global pandemic. The move comes 72 days after the first reported case in Wuhan, China was confirmed. In that time the disease has spread to 114 countries, infecting 118,000 people and causing 4,291 deaths.

Just remember that the death rate is 6.9% (recovered/died) not the 2% they have been claiming. This will be far from the end of the world, and most of us won't catch it, but if you have elderly or sick relatives be very mindful of their health by being mindful of yours. Wash your hands, cough into your armpit, and blow your nose.
