US launches retaliatory strikes in Iraq on Iran-backed militia Kataib Hezbollah

The US has launched airstrikes against a pro-Iranian militia group in Iraq after a British army medic and 2 American servicemen were killed in a missile attack. The strikes targeted 5 weapons storage facilities across Iraq, the US defence department said. Earlier, a US commander said an Iranian-backed militia group Kataib Hezbollah was likely to have fired the rockets at the coalition forces.

Why is US in Iraq again? Did I hear democracy? Their elected Parliament voted US to withdraw... WMD? Non existed. So why is US there again, killing and getting killed, thousands of lives lost, billions of dollars wasted???
