Coronavirus testing burden continues in US despite private labs

Despite the entry of commercial lab companies Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings and Quest Diagnostics to help identify cases of the new COVID-19, the burden of testing in the US does not seem to be easing. While there are currently more than 1,300 documented cases, experts say the actual number may be much higher because of the lack of diagnostic tests.

The US's lack of a proper healthcare system is going to transform uninsured and low-insured citizens into agents of chaos for the virus. They will be the ones who power through the infection phase to keep delivering/serving food, parcels and doing other community-contact based jobs, and not get tested for fear of being hit with a huge medical bill.
