Pentagon to reconsider parts of Jedi $10bn cloud contract

The Pentagon is seeking court permission to reconsider certain aspects of its decision to award a $10 billion cloud computing contract to Microsoft. Last month, a judge granted Amazon’s request to temporarily halt the Department of Defense (DoD) and Microsoft from moving forward with the deal, claiming it reflected undue influence by President Trump.

How can the head of the executive branch have undue influence over a contract concerning a Dept underneath the executive branch? That sounds like claiming that a CEO has too much influence over contracts for a Dept of his company.

So Amazon deserves or demands the contract?
