Spain declares a ’state of alert’; Colombia puts in place health emergency

Spain has declared a ’state of alert’ for 15 days in the wake of a spike in cases of coronavirus diagnosed. This would be the first of three stages of the state of emergency. Spain now has 4,209 confirmed cases, recording 1063 new cases overnight. Separately, Colombia declared a health emergency in effect till May 30. Health authorities in the Andean country have reported nine cases of COVID-19.

The world needs to adopt North Korea's strategy for dealing with the Coronavirus because despite bordering China and South Korea, North Korea has miraculously not had a single (reported) case of the Coronavirus! /s
