WSJ/NBC poll shows partisan differences in concern and preparation for COVID-19

According to an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, 68% of Democrats nearly 80% of Democrats believe the worst of the COVID-19 outbreak is yet to come, but just 40% of Republicans and 57% of independents believe that. It found similar differences on other questions. This is attributed to differences in reporting by news outlets watched and by advice given by Republican and Democratic politicians.

Why is mother jones on here?!? If infowars isn't allowed neither should mother jones. Infowars is MUCH more objective than its knockoff op-ed pro propaganda counterpart.

Once again the media reads too much into poorly worded polls. As conservatives are more likely to live in rural areas and most likely to prepared for disasters in general they are also least likely to be "concerned" about the Coronavirus. The left always does this: poll with very broad questions and then spin the results.

American Republicans have plenty of food, ammo and TP. We actually prepare "before" emergencies.

Could it be that cities are liberal and much more densely populated?

Connectives already had emergency supplies and as such Republicans and many moderates, those who live in rural areas, have less to worry about. So we don't. Spoiled people in big cities, many of whom are leftists or Democrats, that don't have more than a days worth of food or who go out every day are the ones freaking out the most.

To be fair, it is a liberal hoax to divide conservatives.... People should be organising anti abortion rallies right now.....to protest pelosi using this hoax to pass pro abortion legislation.... And then going to mega churches to pray and show solidarity against this leftist hoax.....

Should read republicans have a stock pile at home already and have the forethought to be prepared for an emergency. Didn’t run out and buy 70 cases of water and tp.

it makes my eyes do a 180 and inspect my brain. wisdom and foolishness is not partisan. either party who thinks the other is smart/dumber risks tipping the balance against the statistical reality.
