Florida governor refuses to close beaches as coronavirus cases rise

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis warned the party goers to ’get off the beaches’ in the state as the coronavirus pandemic spreads further. DeSantis has signed an order that limits parties on beaches to 10 people and has been coming under increasing pressure to close the beaches altogether. DeSantis however has argued that the choice on what to do about beaches needs to be taken on a case-by-case basis.
