Adults under 45 years old make up 20% of US coronavirus hospitalizations

A new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention showed that American adults of all ages, not just the elderly, are being hospitalized for COVID-19. Among 508 (12%) patients known to have been hospitalized, 9% were aged 85 years, 26% were aged 65–84 years, 17% were aged 55–64 years, 18% were 45–54 years, and 20% were aged 20–44 years.

Very concerning report from the CDC because it only lists age of the patients. We already know that's not a reliable parameter and that pervious or existing health condition play a significant factor in who will be hospitalized. VERY irresponsible of the CDC to publish this as "fact". Borders on irresponsible and intentionally misleading. This is just the kind of news that needs to be labeled as misleading.

20-44 a 24 year age group makes up 1/5 of the cases. Every other group is 10 years or less and make up 80% or 4/5 of the cases. No mention of underlying conditions. So in short 80% of hospitalizations are for people over 45. but that headline doesn't sell adds.

I'm sure the death rate under this age bracket is way way less then seen. It just says hospitalized it didn't say dead. No need to freak out.

The percentages are all similar enough across the age groups under 85 to appear that all ages are affected similarly. My concern is in regard to the sample size and whether it contains bias.
