Rikers Island inmate is first to test positive for coronavirus

An inmate at Rikers Island has tested positive for coronavirus and eight others who are showing symptoms of COVID-19 have been moved into isolation. The infected inmate is in their early 30’s and is ’doing okay. This is despite, weeks prior, the NY City Department of Correction said it was ramping up precautionary measures to prevent spread of the virus through densely populated jails & prisons.

Actually, it is to their credit that there haven't been previous cases considering how prevalent COVID-19 is in NYC (assuming there haven't been some that are not detected).

idiots demands trump stay out of they way and in the same breath says trump should order the military to make masks and help NYC. I think I speak for all america s when I say very few good people live in nyc and they elected blasio and should live and die with the consequences. most responsible people moved out of NYC long ago and the few who remain should accept they mad a bad decision.
