Intel reports going back to January warned of coronavirus threat

As per reports, US intelligence warned of the danger posed by COVID-19 through Jan & Feb. On the other hand, as late as Feb 26, President Trump downplayed the threat, even though he formed the Corona virus task force on January 29, 2020.’ Wen you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero’.

Intel my ass. Most of those reports had nothing about warning the virus. they were simply reporting about a probable deadly disease that was spreading in china. None of those reports were giving any suggestion to the government as to what to do. Those 'Intel officers' are just looking for someone to blame because they probably put off pushing the virus reports on a higher level

completely predicted thus. Now there will be an investigation. Why would the leak now when things are being done. the reality is the deep state told trump not to do anything. no one leaked the concern when it mattered. now they say something. we need to shut down all government agencies not listed in the constitution.

Huffpost and other partisan a-holes: can we get through the crisis before you try and assign blame around things that do not matter right now?

There's a major difference between dismissing intel, versus downplaying it. I think this is just a case of our President trying to keep calm instead of causing panic. Newa media has clearly caused all the panic we didn't need.

Apparently Kushner recommended that retard in chief Trump not take it seriously. When the stock market warnings came he saw the problem

Trump supporters: Doesn't matter he ignored warnings. He must have had a plan since we trust him and he can do no wrong... clearly.

Trump has been saying for years that China is the real threat to America and we need stricter border control. And the response from his critics was "Racist rheeeeeeee WHITE NATIONALIST!!!". And of course, no criticism against Italy, Germany, Spain etc. for not doing anything sooner even with higher death rates. Wonder why?

We dont need secret intel to tell us this we saw him do it everyday for the past 2 months. He has completely failed America. My friends wife is an ER doctor in Washington, she has to use the same N95 mask all day and put a regular one over it so she can reuse it. She also still has not been tested.

Most people ignored the warning. That's why we have all the pannic. For example, In December I told my colleagues be careful an unknown virus in China is exploding and will most likely be in the US in a couple months. They thought I was overreacting and ridiculous. Look at us now...most citizens thought its it's not coming here...most were wrong.

The reports talk about the posibility of a deadly virus coming from China, there were no specifics, or recommendations on what should be done. Yet again, this is a nothing-burger story. I'm sure the DNC will try to use this as an excuse to waste more taxpayer dollars investigating Donald Trump for no reason again

How about instead of focusing on what wasnt done, we move forward with what we can do about it today. Uggghhh I'm so tired if the negativity and complaining. If he messed up so be it - but blaming doesn't fix the problem. It just wastes energy that could be used to be part of the solution.

It's funny how people are so quick to blame Trump, yet where is the criticism of the European leaders who refused to close borders? Where is the criticism of my leader here in New Zealand who continued to let foreign boats and foreign planes land and RECOMMENDED that foreigners should maybe get tested, now we have a caravan with 2 infected foreigners visiting every town and infecting people because they refused to quarantine themselves while on holiday, it explains why almost every city in our North island has infections from out of nowhere. Where is the criticism now?
