As panic-buying grows in scale, clearing shelves of home essentials like toilet paper and hand soap, many have taken it upon themselves to profit from the fear. Hand sanitizer given astronomical prices alongside facemasks have forced Facebook (among other online marketplaces) to ban the sale of such items.
