Apple donating 2 million masks to healthcare workers

Apple has pledged to donate 2 million industrial masks to help address the needs of health care workers helping tackle the COVID-19. VP Mike Pence praised the effort calling it ’another story of great American industry’. Apple CEO Tim Cook alluded to the donation in a tweet Saturday, saying Apple is donating ’millions of masks for health professionals in the US and Europe’.

Apple: Hits place order on Amazon. "We just donated 2 million masks!" Reality: Your delivery will arrive in 4 months. | This is nice and all, but until Apple says they're haulting phone production to PRODUCE masks the act of tossing money at problems will not solve this one. The issue is a SUPPLY shortage, not a local STOCK shortage.
