Ohio’s AG told providers to stop abortions during the coronavirus pandemic

Ohio’s attorney general, Dave Yost, ordered several clinics to stop all ’nonessential’ surgical abortions, defined as any ’that can be delayed without undue risk to the current or future health of a patient’, to help conserve needed medical supplies during the coronavirus pandemic. Pro-choice groups say the order is an excuse from the state to restrict access to abortion.
