Biggest quake in 140 years shakes Zagreb, Croatia

An earthquake measuring 5.3 shook Croatia and its capital Zagreb on Sunday, causing widespread damage. Many buildings in the capital city cracked and walls and rooftops were damaged. Zagreb’s iconic cathedral was also damaged with the top of one of its two spires collapsing. PM Andrej Plenkovic said the earthquake was the biggest in Zagreb in the last 140 years. Reports on casualties are awaited.
