Kiev monastery fights coronavirus with homemade hand sanitizer

In one of Ukraine’s oldest monasteries, Orthodox clerics are coming together to mix up batches of hand sanitizer to distribute to the poor and the needy. Clergy and students in the 11th-century Vydubychi complex follow the recipe set out by WHO and use sterilized gear to fill plastic bottles. The bottles are then sent to destinations across cities from Odessa in the south to Mariupol in the east.
