Director Fauci comments on trajectory and Trump’s remarks

National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director Dr. Anthony Fauci said because of the measures US is instituting the US may not be on the same trajectory as Italy. He went on to say that President Trump’s comments on the success of certain drugs is a layman’s effort to project hope based on annecdotal evidence. Dr. Fauci will speak on scientific evidence after investigation is done.

So, the actual scientific guy said that Trump closing the borders is a reason the US won't end up as bad as Italy? I can only imagine how that's going to come back up when this epedemic is over.

Can't wait for the MSM to give Trump credit for his swift and decisive action to close travel early. Yup, any minute now.

I guess everyone expects a business man to be an expert on medical science.

Also, OP should be ashamed of picking the only headline that potentially makes Trump look bad.

The President needs to try and raise the hope of the nation, he did say it might not work, but said they would begin testing on Tuesday. It could have been communicated more fairly but the press hasn't been very helpful in getting out his message. POTUS cadence as a speaker is understandable but can easily be misinterpreted if you wish to, at least for now they should hold his feet to the fire without trying to cause conflict for conflicts sake is demoralizing to me.

Simply not buying some of bs Anthony offering up out there.... Just read a very interesting article medical article informing that the current flu shot given made those vaccinated for flu more suspetible to contracract covid 19...due to immuniity interference which opens the door for covid 19.... that an l and s strain exist n covid 19 can last in a. Persons throat for up to five weeks.... Thus remaining a vector for transmittion...Baylor working some kind of med using antibodies from those who have fought off Corona..... Anybody stop to think the med given for babies with rsv could be helpful with another antiviral... To tamp down the viral pnuemonia that covid 19 becomes....before it goes thar far... The rsv med isn't a cure but it could help slow down

Well we still see young people socializing and people waiting in long lines at Costco. So don't expect to much difference.

While hope is a very good thing, false hope is a bad thing. Anybody who projects hope should keep this in mind.
