Madrid to use ice rink as morgue for coronavirus victims

A 1,800-square-meter, Olympic-sized ice rink in Madrid is to be turned into a temporary morgue to help deal with the coronavirus crisis, as the number of cases in the Spanish capital rose to 10,575 and 1,263 deaths. Earlier on Monday Madrid city hall said the city’s 14 public cemeteries would cease to accept more bodies because staff there did not have adequate protective gear.
