WHO ignored COVID-19 questions at start of outbreak, claims Taiwan

Taiwan slammed the WHO for ignoring its questions at the start of the COVID-19 outbreak. Taiwan is barred from membership in the WHO under pressure from China. The country has had success in restricting the spread of the virus with 216 cases. It claims questions to the WHO and China, as early as Dec. 31, on information about the newly uncovered virus outbreak in Wuhan received no response.

I said it in the begining of my understanding of WHO today. They don't care about you or anything but money and power. I am not trying to up or down play any of what is currently going on. Just all you can do is be cautious, aware, and not panic. You don't need to pay some crappy organization to tell you that.

Taiwan needs to be recognized as an independent nation. Been 50 years or so, add still they are being bullied by China and no one is doing anything about it. If not, then US better arm them more to the teeth, so that China can think twice before getting close to their borders.

May God bless the real Republic of China Taiwan. You are at the forefront of preventing the communist (or socialist) takeover of the free world. Shout out to Hongkies too for their brave fight against Imperial cruel China.

The WHO has lost its credibility. It was spreading bad info on behest of the Chinese government; bad info that lead to this disease to become a pandemic, being far worse than it otherwise would have been. The WHO should have scholded China for silencing doctors and whistleblowers, and informed the rest of the would to close their borders with China. Instead, the WHO chose to appease a brutal authoritarian dictatorship at the cost of human lives. Defund the WHO and let it be replaced by organizations that are more concerned with promoting health rather than appeasing wealthy dictators.

WHO is acting terribly. They would rather sacrifice the integrity of their data and limot the world's knowledge and preparedness, than risk upsetting China and list and trear Taiwan separately.

Taiwan must have known right away that they were on their own, and they summarily crushed the virus anyway. Good for them.

OHH I'm predicting there will be a high price to pay for the administration of The WHO. It won't be long for someone to start calling for the removal of the administration completely. And it would make sense that they should be replaced with people who are responsible for the most effective response to the pandemic in the world AKA Taiwan and South Korea. But this housekeeping should be done after the pandemic breaks. Thankfully WHO is mostly responsible for a recommendations to various governments around the world, and after this, no-one is going to pay attention to them or the recommendations of the current ministration of WHO. It should also be noted that Ukraine and it's government deserves an honorable mention here. even though they were initially criticized for a response which was considered to be too harsh, shutting down mass transit and rail and closing borders to elective international travel. It has proven to be good and decisive measure limiting the number of infections throughout the largest country in Europe under 100 with only three deaths. It is appalling to me that there are politicians which value the economy of their country over the potential lethal detriment of a pandemic raging rampant. This is not about creating panic this is about taking active measures in the face of potentially serious danger of overwhelming the healthcare system and permitting an unimaginable number of deaths.
