UK asks carriers to send coronavirus alert to citizens

The UK govt has turned to mobile carriers like EE, o2, Vodafone, and Three to send an emergency coronavirus alert today. They are being asked to stay at home and only go outside for food, health reasons, or essential work and links to the official UK government coronavirus response website. It comes just hours after UK PM introduced drastic measures to ban gatherings of three or more people.

Those messages confused alot of people. I know people that didn't turn up for work even though they are classed as frontline workers (mechanics mostly). Probs could have handled it better than just a short message that gave little to no guidence.
