Coronavirus hitting NY like a ’bullet train’; cases doubling every 3 days: Cuomo

New York Gov Andrew Cuomo said Covid-19 was hitting his state ’like a bullet train’ and that it could peak in 14 days. ’We were looking at a freight train - we’re now looking at a bullet train. We haven’t flattened the curve. The curve is actually increasing,’ Cuomo said, revealing that cases have doubled every 3 days in NYC, and that the state would need 140,000 hosp beds and 40,000 ICU beds.

Not every American city has the population density of NYC. They won't be alone, but NYC will probably be one of the hardest hit areas, not the average.

Do you have tear gas? Just lob a few every time you see a crowd. I would not even warn them, they will eventually get the idea.

NYC is a ghost town. (Manhattan at least) Except for the privileged most new cases represent exposure up to 2 weeks ago. Just how efective social distancing has been should be clearer in about a week and two weeks we should get a more accurate picture.

Well you had to guess that Cuomo and DeBlasio were good at *something* -- unfortunately wasn't something beneficial to to public.
