LA County sheriff closing gun stores

Los Angeles County Sheriff is ordering gun stores closed in accordance with California’s shutdown of nonessential businesses amid the fight against the coronavirus. He also said the increase in gun sales seen in the state and nationwide could result in unnecessary violence as tensions rise amid the pandemic and subsequent shutdown.

When the voice of the government says you don't need your guns, be sure you definitely need your guns.

I disagree with the curtailment. But... There are a lot more new gun owners who probably have zero training and no idea on how to handle their new firearm. Reports of accidental shootings are bound to go up soon. You wouldn't want to start handing out cars to a populace that has never driven or had a driving lesson.

This absolutely rustles my Appalachian jimmies. Close the schools so kids stay at home, close the church because reasons, everyone looks at you when you cough or sneeze. . . These things are fine but if the gun stores close in my locale well then certainly there's a ship in a harbor that is soon to be liberated of its tea.

We wouldn't want people to be able to protect themselves if this thing goes even more belly up would we. How else will the sheriff maintain order if most of the people are armed he may actually have to listen to them 😱

Releasing prisoners AND not allowing people to protect themselves and loved ones? Good luck with that one L.A. County.

Oh those guys will be so anxiety ridden that they won’t be able to arm themselves for armageddon. There are some groups that hope this is the “second coming,” and are cheering for it.

Personal protection is not essential? Gotta say I do not agree with the LA sheriff on that.
