Germany’s infection curve could be flattening off, public health chief says

A top health official in Germany said there are signs that the exponential upwards curve in new COVID-19 infections in Germany is flattening off for the first time thanks to social distancing measures. Lothar Wieler, head of the Robert Koch Institute, added, ’I will only be able to confirm this trend definitively on Wednesday’. Germany has recorded 26,159 cases of the virus with 111 deaths.
