50,000 Americans stranded abroad; Peru particularly complicated

As many as 50,000 Americans are seeking help to return home given closed borders and canceled flights amid the COVID-19 outbreak. Particularly complicated has been Peru with nearly 5000 Americans, as per the State Department’s repatriation task force. ’There were some infections in the civil aviation authority and on the civilian side of the airport’, said an official.

If we're going to look strictly at the numbers, having only 50,000 Americans out of the country right now is really a low number. Granted, it'll be better if they could be home, but this is mainly a comment regarding the numbers.
