The US Navy is fighting a coronavirus outbreak aboard the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt at the Pacific ocean where 25 sailors have tested positive for the virus, just 2 days after 3 sailors were tested positive on the ship with about 5,000 sailors. The ship is headed to Guam for a scheduled port visit, where, makeshift shelters have been ordered to be built for the incoming sailors.
Sailors cant help but swap fluids so they are in danger.
Given the nature of shipboard life and what happened with swine flu this is not surprising. In 2010 it swept through the ship in about 3 days. Given the nature of the personal though they will likely have extremely low mortality.
