Coronavirus lockdowns cause drop in air pollution across Europe

Latest satellite images showed that air pollution across Europe’s major cities have decreased because of the lockdowns imposed due to the coronavirus outbreak. Cities including Brussels, Paris, Madrid, Milan and Frankfurt showed a reduction in average levels of noxious nitrogen dioxide over Mar 5-25, compared with the same period last year.
