McDonald’s and other brands are making ’social distancing’ logos

Some of the biggest global brands like McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Audi and Volkswagen are promoting ’social distancing’ with logo redesigns. In Brazil, McDonald’s has released ads showing the franchise’s famous golden arches cut in half, while a new billboard in Times Square has Coca-Cola’s famous cursive logo spaced out above a banner that reads: ’Staying apart is the best way to stay united’.

Thanks big corporations! When all this is done we will all bow down, idolise and worship at the alters of your logos. We will remember that it was the holy skills of your design department coupled with the wisdom of your marketing team that tipped the scales in the fight against COVID-19. Without that subtle change to the Golden Arches none of us would know what 'Social Distancing' meant. Am I right?
