COVID-19 update: Cases globally near 800K, over 37K deaths

Globally the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases has risen to 788,054 while the death toll stands at 37,877. Cases reported in the US (164,359) are now nearly double that of China (81,518). China has said that the center of the outbreak, Wuhan, has not had a new cases since 23 Jan. The World Bank warned the pandemic could ’bring growth to a halt and increase poverty’.

I know we haven't reached the apex yet but in comparison to H1N1 at 1.4 billion I think we're doing ok. Social distancing friends. Just out driving around and saw quite a few darwin award winners. Cabin fever on top of a pandemic since it's spring time here in the U.S., people really want to get out and enjoy the weather. Most people I saw were in groups on foot....take a drive, even caravan but why disregard the one main thing that will keep us safe.
