Obama era vehicle mileage standards scrapped by Trump administration

Vehicle mileage standards that were put in place during the Obama era were rolled back by the Trump administration today. As per experts, this is a big step back in the United States’ efforts against climate change. The Trump administration has said that this will reportedly bring down the cost of a new vehicle by nearly $1,000.

Oh boy, it makes cars cheaper by $1,000? They still cost upwards of 20k and I don't even get paid enough to even think about having a savings account. I think we should be going into alternative fuels rather than trying to make cars cheaper anyways. Oil just seems to be more work than its worth. Its not that great for the environment, its expensive, and leads to wars and death over it. If we can just make our own fuel, it'd be better overall. Hell, if we can make a good fuel source, we can sell that to other countries and probably build a better economy out of it. I'm also kind of starting to how we use cars anyways. I love cars and such, but when I think about all that space we use just for parking and what we could have there instead, it makes me annoyed. It'd condense the stores closer together and instead of having to drive to the store, we could probably walk there. It'd lower costs for people and companies, be more eco friendly, and lower obesity. With less cars on the road, there'd be less traffic, so those people who actually want to drive can do so. Less bad drivers on the road too, so its safer to have people walk around.

I will always love that most (though not all) who are supposedly so environmentally conscious will never willingly live the lifestyle that they seek to impose upon everyone else by force of law. Eliminate the tax credits on electric cars and solar panels and sales sink like a stone. If you think an extra grand for a car is a small sacrifice for Mother Earth, go drive to the crappy side of town where an extra g is two month's rent. For all your good intentions this hits the poor, not BP and GM.

Good. One less government regulation forced on to people because of that climate change hoax.

Good. Cars are too damned expensive. When you can't even get a 1/2 decent used car because they still cost 10-15 grand something is wrong. How is it everything gets cheaper to build as time goes by except cars. They get more and more expensive....by a whole fuking lot.
