Idaho Governor signs two bills restricting transgenders in bio-women’s sports

Idaho Gov. Brad Little approved legislation to prohibit impetuous sex changes on birth certificates and barring transgender individuals from competing in women only sports leagues. The hard fought battle was praised among his conservative base, but the ACLU of Idaho issued a statement bemoaning the legislation as discriminatory against transgender people and invasive of the privacy of students.

I agree, If you want to be transgender its a free country to do so but you shouldn't be able to alter your birth certificate, And you shouldn't be able to participate in sports of the opposite sex to your birth gender.

Just give them their own olympics like the special olympics. While we're at it, let's have an olympics for peeps who WANT to be jacked up to the hilt on performance enhancing drugs to! If I could watch a human being run the 100m dash in 5 seconds that would be amazing 💪

"Anti-Transgender" is a false description. The headlines that make that assertion are false and propagandistic. The actual truth is "pro-reality". People who have gender dysphoria should seek to resolve their mental illness, not attempt change their physical health in a fruitless effort to change gender. Doctors who perform such operations or hormone treatments should be considered criminal.

As a transgender person, I'm okay with this. I thought it was dangerous as hell for MTF transgenders to participate in women's sports. Its basically like, you having natural steroids for most of your life, then stopping for a bit to compete. If anything, they should have a seperate league entirely. The birth certifcate is whatever to me. I don't think it'll affect my daily life, and its not like I see it everyday unlike my drivers license or something. Which I think will still let you switch sex on it after surgery anyways.

Good to see the Idaho government is working feverishly (pun intended) on legislation to streamline regulations for the fight against the virus and the threat of economic collapse for the people of Idaho.

Alternate headline: women suddenly allowed to get records in their own divisions again.

Good. I agree with both of those things completely. Especially the second one named in the summary. Transgender individules in sports on their own are fine but statistically when they join a female team they end up dominating ruining the experience for everyone involved. Also parents should not be able to make these decisions for their children either. Most things are up to the parent, but mutilating their body, or even brainwashing them on their gender, is purely unacceptable.

Good. Why should biological women have their sports permanently ruined by men who merely wish they were women?

Why is it any of your business what parts a person has? If a girl want to play with the boys let her, if a boy wants to play with girls let him, if a person trying to figure out who they are wants to play on the "normal" teams for "normal" sports who gives a *%$!? If you calm down through your outrage and realize we have always had people with differing ideas on sex and differing genetics aka XXX women and people with both male and female sex organs you might figure out you really don't have any thing to say.

Who cares? We have more pressing matters than worrying about people who can't decide what organs they want their crotches to look like they have.

Anyone who opposes this is more or less saying they are ok with their significant other starting their relationship off with a lie and are ok with men oppressing women in sports.

This is something that could be taken care of after this. I think, (Not proven) that he did this just because of the lack of resistance while the world burns from this horrible virus.

The Idaho ACLU is wrong on this one. These bills make sense, even a leftist like myself can recognize that.

This doesn't read like discrimination of any kind, it protects female athletes and children from parents who expose them to this so early
