US-Mexico border falls quiet with millions affected amid COVID-19 restrictions

The US border with Mexico, the world’s busiest land border, has fallen quiet amid restrictions to contain the COVID-19. Reports estimate that at least 4M Mexicans residing in cities along the 1,954-mile (3,144-km) border have been hit hard by the restrictions on non-essential travel.

According to the story, the lack of Mexican labor in the USA, will mean absolutely nothing will get done. They mentioned something about rotting watermelons in the field, there are ripe watermelons somewhere in the United States? My guess is these guys work in tgeservice industry not fruit picking. Americans will and are working service jobs, what's left anyways.
