CDC might urge Americans to cover their face in public

The Washington Post reported that citizens of the United States might be encouraged by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to cover their faces, in order to slow the spread of coronavirus in the country. The CDC might ask people to make their own masks in order to ensure that surgical masks do not go out of stock for use by medical professionals.

Yea well it should do more than consider. All long they have been delaying testing and masks. The only thing proven to work, Iike in South Korea, Japan. Etc. Why do we still listen to these guys? Or the WHO both have caused this so far. Please stop waiting for them to do something they never will. They should just be disbanded. Stop telling people to wait while you consider.

No. this doesn't prevent you from getting it and can actually increase the odds because you are touching your face more when adjusting it. The general public needs to leave the medical supplies to the doctors and nurses that actually need them. There is a shortage people.

That's right u mask under assumption u are asymptomatic carrier n what u have could infect those vulnerable... Frankly u should mask out of respect and as a civic duty to keep those serving u in stores or other service jobs... If u aren't masked and under sixty five or not immunocompromised that store should refuse u entry... U protect by keeping u from spreading. N if u don't like it stay home.. It's ur civic duty right now to mask wash wash wash n maintain social distancing.. Stop being the vector n acting as if u don't have a care in the world... U share the world with others
