This is a bit of a pet peeve; I kinda have issue with sitting representatives serving as part of the national guard. I’m not knocking their willingness to help, but the fact is that if/when they conduct their national guard duties (like now, with this rep) they are unable to conduct their primary job (representing their constituents). In a time of crisis (like now) they cannot effectively conduct both duties. Their is also the fact, that in a time of war, their is no way in hell anyone in their right mind would activate a congressperson’s unit to serve on the front line.
