Pastor arrested on misdemeanor charges for defying COVID-19 order

A pastor of Louisiana megachurch was arrested on misdemeanor charges for holding Sunday services for hundreds of followers despite a ban on large gatherings. Pastor Tony Spell arrest comes a day after Rev. Rodney Howard-Browne, the pastor of another megachurch at Tampa Bay Church in Florida, was arrested for the same reason. Spell’s service Sunday drew an estimated 500 people.
