NYC needs 3.3 million N95 masks and 400 ventilators by Sunday: De Blasio

NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio said that the city needs 400 ventilators and 3.3M masks by Sunday to deal with a new wave of cases expected by Monday. ’Supplies continue to come in at a very rapid rate, and they go out right away to hospitals all over the city and to first responders,’ de Blasio said. The city is also rushing to get more temporary health workers as the doctors and nurses are exhausted.

Great news Trump is bypassing Cuomo so he can't hide supplies in warehouses. He is using the national guard and fedex to deliver directly to hospitals. No more "missing supplies" like they local governments did in Puerto Rico. Min 56 of video below Trump anounnces. Suppliy delivery under guard directly to hospitals. https://youtu.be/eXJIETG42B0 No more playing political games with life saving supplies. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/latino/puerto-rico-residents-outraged-after-discovering-warehouse-full-unused-aid-n1118501 Puerto Rico residents outraged after discovering warehouse full of unused aid from Hurricane Maria

And how many is New York going to pay for? Is New York bankrupt or just leeching off the rest of the country, who need these supplies too?

The new york times keeps publishing fake news about how many ventilators the united states needs. Then quietly corrects the same fake recycler information twice in two different stories. Very few people see the corrections. Will they run the fake news multiple more times? https://youtu.be/PYYymLVU6CI

And you de Blasio should have ordered medical supplies sooner instead of ordering them on March 6th and you should have listened when Cuomo and the CDC and the surgeon general said for people to stay inside, what did you do, oh that's right you said for people to go out and party and go out bars. The actions you have taken have boarded on the line of negligence

Coronavirus Lead Demands Corporate Media Stop Scaring Americans With Lies About Ventilator Shortages So far, there is no evidence that when Americans ‘need a hospital bed it’s not going to be there or a ventilator, it’s not going to be there,’ says Coronavirus Task Force leader Dr. Deborah Birx https://thefederalist.com/2020/03/28/nations-coronavirus-lead-demands-corporate-media-stop-scaring-americans-with-lies-about-ventilator-shortages/ Phony garbage bag wearing nurses story. https://www.today.com/health/nyc-hospital-responds-photos-nurses-wearing-trash-bags-t176939 Lucia Lee, the senior director of media for the Mount Sinai Health System, provided a statement to TODAY stating the "safety and protection" of Mount Sinai staff and patients "is always and will always be our absolute top priority," especially during the coronavirus pandemic. "When it comes to staff wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), the facts are very clear: We always provide all our staff with the critically important PPE they need to safely do their job," Lee wrote. "If an individual does not have their proper PPE, they do not go on the floor, period. Any suggestion otherwise is simply not accurate."

Maybe all these "leaders" should have thought of the consequences of reducing taxes and cutting infrastructure budgets. Plan for the worst. Hope for the best.

As much as I despise der Führer Trump, it's not his his fault that New York is si woefully unprepared. After 911, how could New York possibly be so unprepared for a catastrophic event? Ome would think they'd have SOME supplies and a plan. But they don't have sh!t. Why is that? And now Cuomo is complaining der Führer Trump isn't moving fast enough?
