Sen. Loeffler discloses more stock sales, purchases of medical companies

As per reports, new disclosures made by Sen. Kelly Loeffler reveal trades in Dupont, which makes medical supplies. Loeffler and her husband, Intercontinental Exchange Chairman Jeff Sprecher, have come under scrutiny for selling stock before the market’s drop, following a closed-door Senate briefing on the COVID-19. New data reveals she purchased over $87,700 in shares of Dupont.

I have read up and this may not qualify has insider trading. 1) Insider trading laws tend to apply to information that isn't public but knowledge of the virus was definitely public in early February. 2) She and her husband do not directly control there stock “Her stock portfolio is managed independently by third-party advisors,” meaning they in all likelyhood could deny knowledge of the transaction and in that case it is no longer insider trading. 3) There where private sales of the same nature during the time frame again showing that this was public knowledge. IE people investing heavily in medical stock.
