NJ Gov Murphy calls for postmortem review of federal COVID-19 Pandemic Response

NJ Gov. Phil Murphy called for extensive postmortem review of the federal government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Murphy’s comments come a day after House Democrats proposed legislation that would create a commission to review the federal response to the pandemic, similar to the one put in place after the 9/11 attacks

Why not a postmortem of hi response? Let's not forget that Individual States have Rights and Responsibilities.

My understanding is that each level of government has responsibilities in this. Any of the lower level governments trying to point the finger at the federal response would want to be pretty confident that they had not dropped the ball in terms of their own responsibilities and visa versa, There will be lessons to be learned around the world by governments, companies and individuals. Partisan politics will severely hinder that process.

There absolutely should be an investigation after things get back to quasi normal. Those entrusted to protect the people should face consequences for inactions as well as actions that were detrimental.
