Musk defends sending BiPAP machines to hospitals, slams bots

Elon Musk responded to criticism he received after sending non-invasive breathing aids to New York. Some noted the aids could not be used to treat severe COVID-19 cases. Musk recently said more than 1,255 FDA-approved (BiPAP) devices had been acquired and flown into California. ’Weird that so many troll/bot accounts were activated to attack on this fake issue’, Musk tweeted in his defense.

I detest the All or Nothing arguments that are used so often online. The fact that these devices don't work for the most severe is not important. If they free up ventilators by dealing with lower need patients then they help. It is not that hard. Admittedly I am a Muskovite (?), Muskovian(?) , Musker ... I like Elon Musk.

Could these aids be used to free up ventilators? If so then wtf is the problem?

Problem with BiPap for medical workers is it makes the virus air born more. So without proper PPE these workers will be at very high risk.
