Wall Street investment firms lobbying for piece of stimulus package pie

As per a report by Politico, PE companies and VC’s have been lobbying for a piece of the $2T stimulus package. Groups representing the firms urged the administration to let businesses they own apply for the $350B small business loans authorized last week. Supporters say this will be crucial in keeping startups in business, while critics argue it amount to a handout to Wall Street investors.

Yes and while we're at it let's also give everybody on wall street food stamps and disability because they're just so impoverished.

Although it's only a loan which means they'll need to pay it back, which is much better than Obama's 2008-2009 free money "stimulus", I am NOT for this bailout either. The companies that over leveraged and did not prepare themselves for hard times need to fade away and make place for companies that will make better business decisions.

Unpopular opinion: Never bail out any businesses, period. It just creates incentive for companies to operate on the brink of bankrupcy.

Not this time. This is for the people that really need it. Don’t give more money to the billionaires. How dare they.
