COVID-19: 1.13M infections globally and over 60K deaths

60,147 people across the world have died as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Over 1.13M are now known to have been infected. Cases in the US have risen to 277,522 with 7,403 deaths. The US is followed by Spain (124,736) and Italy (119,827). The Falkland Islands confirmed the territory’s first case. 684 deaths were confirmed in the UK hospitals, the deadliest day since the outbreak began.
