Hospitals testing transfusing blood of COVID-19 survivors to seriously ill

Doctors around the world are dusting off a century-old treatment for infections: Infusion of blood plasma teeming with antibodies that helped survivors beat COVID-19. It’s not proven but former patients in Houston and New York were early donors, and now hospitals and blood centers are getting ready for hundreds of survivors to follow. If this works either for seriously ill people or to confer immunity, it would be a big help.

Other coutries are already testing this for some weeks now with still inconclusive but promising results. Won’t be a viable grand scale cure but would definitely help.

Usually a picture of an African American on a gurney with IV tubes inserted into their arms has a distinctly different vibe.
