Italy has reported 681 deaths by the coronavirus on Saturday. That is fewest they have seen since March 23. The number of patients in intensive care has decreased for the first time since the virus hit. The number of cases has risen from 119,827 to 124,632 but rate of increase has slowed. Italy is still one of the countries most affected by COVID-19 accounting for nearly one quarter of the deaths.
Hang in there Italy the Renaissance is coming.. We feel for ur great loss of so many lives...
eventually you run out of old people
It's true what they say, It's Always Darkest Before The Dawn, I will allow myself the possibility of considering the these are the first rays of sunlight and the sunrise should not be far behind... I have a theory I want to to offer here... The European countries which have the most elaborate greeting rituals-traditions, kissing on the cheeks, hugs, etc... are the countries that are the most affected by this pandemic. This is not to say that a heavy dose of reckless bravado did not contribute to the proliferation of this pandemic. If the only way for the Police and Mayors of cities in Italy to stop people from having parties during a pandemic is to threaten to send police with flamethrowers to those parties, the elaborate greeting traditions are not the only ones that need to bare the brunt of blame here. I sincerely hope that after this pandemic people will reconsider the obnoxious greeting rituals and traditions. Hell, I'm actively considering punching people in the face if they try to shake my hand.
I am constantly perplexed at how many times the Italian governments can screw things up so badly and yet nothing ever changes or improves there.
How many of those death were actually from covid, rather than while having covid?
