’I may take it’, Trump suggests on hydroxychloroquine; Fauci exercises caution

President Trump, doubling down on his suggestion on possible effectiveness of the drug hydroxychloroquine against COVID-19, said Sunday he ’may take’. ’If it were me, in fact, I might do it anyway. I may take it ... I have to ask my doctors about that. But I may take it’, Trump said. At the same briefing, Dr. Fauci said, ’We don’t have any definitive information to be able to make any comment’.

The way the media plays this, it sounds like Fauci can out against it altogether. This is as close to a "we don't know" as I can think and certainly isn't telling people it's unsafe.

I like how everybody laughs or mocks the stuff Trump says, like they don't realize that he most certainly has people to advise him on stuff. Do you really think he knew what hydroxychloroquine was before this? No, I'm sure someone who does have a degree in that area told him about it and that it may help

Remember he had an uncle that was a doctor. So he knows more than anybody in the medicine medical field Scientific field you name it Trump is the brain he knows more than anybody. So all you yeasayer's and you naysayers have no idea what you're talking about. Remember the commander-in-chief has the big brain He hasn't even had degrees in any of this stuff but he's dabbled in a little bit in his lifetime so he knows more about it than the people that have actually gone to college. If you listen to the president you're probably going to die.

So, up until about a month, month and a half ago, no one, outside his immediate circle, knew who Fauci was. Now, his name is known to nearly every home in America. There is all the motivation one needs as evidence he would oppose the usage of any medications, as well as the production of a vaccine

Since most of you only know what Trump said, Dr.Didier Raoult's study lacks a control arm and is therefore unable to provide definitive proof that the drug would reduce hospitalizations. I find it terrifying that so many people are touting a study they've never even read.

I bet trump will lift social distancing soon and just push the drug.
