India turns trains into isolation wards amid COVID-19

India has begun converting railway carriages and sport stadiums into isolation wards to deal with a possible surge in COVID-19 cases. The Indian Railways has begun modifying 20,000 carriages into medical facilities, with each carriage containing 16 beds. This translates to 320,000 patients possibly being cared for in the ’quarantine coaches’. The country has reported 4,314 cases with 118 deaths.
