Austria plans to start easing coronavirus lockdown

Austria’s government plans to start reopening shops from next week in an initial loosening of its COVID-19 lockdown. The country put in place a broad shut down three weeks ago, with schools, bars, restaurants, theatres, non-essential shops and other gathering places closed. Officials said the lockdown has curbed the daily increase in infection rate. Austria has seen 12,236 with 220 deaths.
