Fauci compares COVID death toll among black Americans to AIDS pandemic

Anthony Fauci has compared the alarming COVID-19 death toll among African Americans to the affect AIDS has had on gay men in the ’90s. Fauci said that the disproportionate toll could shine a light on the ’weaknesses and foibles in our society’. Health officials have said that African Americans have more risk of dying due to higher rates of underlying health conditions and lack of healthcare access

Morbidly obese PBS reporter asks why are Americans of african descent more effected by Coronavirus? Are you implying it's behavior? https://youtu.be/litt6vaYoME https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/man-hospitalized-covid-19-learns-he-also-has-diabetes-why-n1180026 Man hospitalized with COVID-19 learns he also has diabetes. Why that's dangerous. A compromised immune system and chronic inflammation may put people with diabetes at higher risk. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27045156/ Obesity in African-American Women--The Time Bomb Is Ticking: An Urgent Call for Change Barbara A Fowler. J Natl Black Nurses Assoc. Dec 2015 Show details Cite Abstract The "time bomb is ticking" because there is an obesity crisis associated with higher rates of chronic diseases such as stroke, hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and some forms of cancer in African-American women compared to White women. African-American women incur higher medical costs from hospitalizations, decreased productivity in the work setting, lost wages, the needfor medical benefits and pharmacy-associated costs, and more time away from family than White women. Numerous factors, such as the socio-cultural context of eating, acceptance of a larger weight status, the emotionally liberating effects offood, and preference for highfat and high caloric, sugary-content, and sodium-laden food influences the obesity crisis in African-American women. The interplay of poverty and lower socioeconomic status, residential segregation, health literacy, availability of fast foods and scarce produce in local convenience food marts, physical inactivity, and conflicting messages from social media public service announcements (PSAs) and ads in national magazines affect the obesity crisis in African-American women.

AIDs was also behavior. Although there might be some genetic issues. But Coronavirus seems to entirely behavior regarding health. Nobody wants to address why Americans of african descent seem to much less healthy than similar people in other parts of the world. Why do they celebrate drug, alcohol, prostitution/pimping and anti fatherhood lifestyles. You can maybe blame the people in the music industry. But obviously some of it's thier own responsibly. Conservatives want you to get married, not use drugs, take care of your health. You can't just say no access to medical care when you smoke, and weigh 300lbs. 100 doctors for each person can't make that healthy. It's not the government making you unhealthy, it's lifestyle. The government can't make you live responsibly, unless they become a dictatorship.
