Bipartisan group of senators demands Trump explain intel IG firing

A bipartisan group of senators is pushing for President Trump to provide more details on his decision to fire the intelligence community’s top watchdog. Eight senators sent a letter to Trump saying that the initial 30-day notification of the decision to fire Michael Atkinson did not meet legal requirements. They are demanding Trump provide a ’more detailed reasoning’ for the firing.

He is the president. He Controls the executive branch. He can appoint anyone to a position within that branch. The Senate has the ability to question and approve his appointments but not the removal of those personpersons.

A presidents power is not absolute, though he may have these powers they can still be abused. This is common sense, I guess Grassley is part of the deep state now too huh? 🤦‍♂️

Isn't it a little too late to be asking POTUS to account for his actions after years of no accountability; it's clear now, there's precedent now for him to do as he pleases, we just need to get use to it. 🤔

I know this is going to be a shocker for the left and right of the political spectrum, both sides don't like to be wrong. It means both sides are biased, which in turn means both sides are filled with their fair share of idiots. Now quit being idiots and possibly work together? Nah, that would be asking for to much, plus I wouldn't be able to get in my funnies for the day.

All that were fired were appointed by Obama or Bush both of whom are deep state puppets. This is what draining the swamp looks like. You can't go after the key players until you replace judges, Intel leakers, you need AMERICAN PATRIOTS in all the positions to take out 60 to 100 years of evil infiltration of OUR Gov't. The storm is upon us and nothing can stop what is coming.....NOTHING.

or they could have just done their job and voted for removal. guess we'll have to wait for the blue wave to hit the senate, then impeach him on emoluments and tax evasion. then we can FINALLY have an ACTUAL trial in the Senate.

The Republicans must be seeing Trump's sliding poll numbers, because the only way that they'll ever rediscover their own backbones is if they know that their loyalty to him will hurt their reelection. Politicians will always be cowards, thieves and lickspittles.

He needs to fire some deep state everyday. If they start investigation then he should fire 100 that day. He actually doesn't need any reason. Obama fired way more people, there were no investigations.

Two RINOs and a bunch of Democrats isn’t really bipartisan. By that same technicality we had a bipartisan refusal of the impeachment vote in the house (Gabbered and another Dem voted “present”).
