Airbnb suspends new UK bookings

Airbnb has suspended booking for UK properties for the coming days unless they are for key workers such as those of the NHS. This comes after the platform faced criticism for advertising properties as suitable for guests to use to self-isolate during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The firm has said it has stopped properties from receiving new bookings until at least 18 April.

AirBNB is a bad business in design anyway. They fail to provide normal protections to there employees (the people renting) that hotels and motels have. They don't have squatter and tenant protections because they refuse to insure the properties. IE When someone stays at an Air BNB they have legal tenants rights meaning if they refuse to leave you have evict them. This isn't true for hotels that have specific protections against this kinda invasion.
