Face masks ban partially upheld in Hong Kong amid coronavirus

A Hong Kong appeals court ruled that a blanket ban on face masks is unconstitutional but did allow them to be banned at illegal assemblies. The ban was put in place during the protests against the government and the extradition law in 2019. But with the COVID-19 pandemic, medical experts are now calling for mandatory wearing of masks in a bid to tackle the spread of the disease.
